Apple opens App Store submissions for iPhone Duo-optimized apps

Existing App Store apps will run on the foldable phone, but only those built with the iOS 27.1 SDK or later can dynamically fill its inner display, according to MacRumors. The publication says unoptimized apps will show black borders and the device will launch on October 23.
