Google adds suspicious-site warnings and clipboard checks to Chrome
Chrome’s new suspicious-site warnings are available with Enhanced Protection enabled, according to The Verge, giving users information about potentially malicious websites before they open them. Google is also adding checks for potentially unsafe copied text, with Android Authority reporting that clipboard data can be shared with Google’s servers.
- According to The Verge, the warnings build on a two-stage download warning system introduced in 2024.
