Google adds AI scam checks and call protections to Android

Circle to Search can analyze suspicious texts and provide AI guidance before users follow links or share personal information. Google is also rolling out defenses against scam messages and call-forwarding abuse. An optional Enhanced protection mode in Google Messages uses cloud-based Gemini models, according to The Next Web.
