Attackers access Denmark population records covering 8.8 million people

Unauthorized parties accessed names, addresses and CPR identification numbers in Denmark’s central population database through a company with legitimate access to the register. Denmark is investigating the incident, according to The Record. Cyber Security News says the affected total exceeds the country’s population of roughly six million.
