Microsoft moves Authenticator Android backups to Google One
Google One will replace Microsoft's own password backup option in the Android version of Authenticator. The switch is scheduled for January, according to TechRepublic, which also reports that existing recovery settings may not transfer automatically when the app moves to the replacement backup service from Google.
