Google gives Messages, Phone and Contacts matching gradient icons
The redesigned icons bring a more consistent appearance to Google's Android apps. The Messages icon is appearing in the latest app update, according to 9to5Google, while Thurrott reports that the broader refresh follows Google's introduction of a gradient corporate G logo last year and brings its Android icons into line.
- The icons feature sharper edges as well as soft gradients, according to iPhone in Canada.
