Google begins adding gradients to more Android app icons
The rollout includes redesigned icons for Messages, Phone and Contacts, with soft gradients and sharper edges, according to iPhone in Canada. Thurrott reports that the Android app updates follow Google's introduction of a gradient corporate G logo last year and bring the app icons into line with that design.
