OpenAI adds teen weapons restrictions to ChatGPT safeguards

OpenAI says it is expanding violence prevention safeguards and introducing earlier interventions in ChatGPT. According to Unite.AI, the company will update its Community Safety Report every six months and tighten responses about past mass attacks. The same report said OpenAI made more than 200 law enforcement referrals in the third quarter of 2026.
