Abandoned Popcorn Time updater put up to 350,000 Macs at risk
A leftover component of Popcorn Time may remain active on Macs where the app was installed years ago, according to MacRumors. AppleInsider reports that the abandoned updater could allow attackers to take over affected machines remotely and execute malicious code with full system privileges on those computers.
