World introduces banking identity checks for AI agents

According to PYMNTS, World announced World ID for banking and finance to help businesses establish whether AI agents are acting for a real person when moving money or shopping. The report describes the launch as the first industry-specific initiative from Sam Altman’s iris-scanning project, announced on October 18.
