Turkey to block under-15s from social media starting November 1

Social media platforms will have to verify users’ ages and block those younger than 15. According to Bloomberg, signup checks will use a token from Turkey’s e-government system, while The Economic Times reports that the restrictions follow a law passed by parliament in April to protect minors from online hazards.
