Python 3.15 released with lazy imports, an upgraded JIT and UTF-8 default
The Python project released version 3.15, its annual feature update. According to RuntimeWire, release manager Hugo van Kemenade oversaw a cycle of 5,643 commits that also makes UTF-8 the default encoding and adds new profiling tools. Phoronix describes the JIT compiler as experimental and running faster in this release.
