Meta blocks ByteDance advertising across seven countries
The restrictions cover Facebook and Instagram in the US, Canada, Egypt, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand and Vietnam. Beyond ads and paid marketing from ByteDance itself, the ban also applies to third-party advertisers whose ads direct users to TikTok or other ByteDance apps, extending its reach beyond the company's own advertising.
