FTC probes Block's customer support for frozen and deactivated accounts
Bloomberg reports that the agency is examining whether inadequate customer service violated US consumer protection laws amid significant staffing cuts. According to Quartz, the investigation began last year after more than 1,500 consumer complaints. The agency is now seeking a court order requiring Block, the parent of Square and Cash App, to provide documents, Quartz reports.
