Ring unveils $249 smart lock with a hand-powered backup for dead batteries
Ring’s first smart lock is scheduled to arrive in the first quarter of 2027. The device can generate power when its batteries die, allowing users to enter without a key, and includes a keypad and fingerprint reader, according to PCMag, alongside the built-in dial used to restore power.
