Sierra and Meta develop rules for personal AI agents dealing with businesses

The Personal Agent Protocol is an open standard for agent authentication and the actions businesses permit, according to The Next Web. Genesys, Instinct, Rocket, Shopify, Stripe and Walmart are also involved, with an initial v0.1 specification expected in October 2026. Payments are planned as a later extension, The Next Web reports.
