Lyft has agreed to pay $272.5 million to settle a lawsuit over driver classification. According to TechCrunch, the case dates to 2020, when drivers' employment status was still unresolved; gig drivers are now classified as contractors. Ars Technica reports that critics say workers are owed substantially more.
